Employee networks play a vital role in supporting diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) across organisations. They provide a space for employees to connect, share experiences, and advocate for meaningful change. When thoughtfully established, networks can foster belonging and support professional development. They also have the potential to influence organisational policy and culture.
Our Establishing Employee Networks module is part one of a two-part series on employee networks. It focuses on the foundations needed to establish an effective network, from understanding its purpose to defining key roles and responsibilities.
The course is designed for DEI and HR professionals, as well as anyone involved in setting up or leading an employee network, including senior sponsors, network chairs, and aspiring members. It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:
- Understand the purpose and benefits of employee networks within an organisation.
- Differentiate between various types of employee networks and their unique roles.
- Develop a step-by-step approach to establishing an effective employee network.
