A Q&A with the team at enei, leading the effort to drive change in your organisation. This spotlight features Dana David.
About Dana

As far as I can remember, I’ve always been passionate about social justice. Despite being regularly questioned by my teachers and parents on whether I was the people’s advocate, when I stood up for others, it was only in the past five years that I realised I could use my passion to strategically support organisations to make the workplace more inclusive and welcoming for all.
In addition to DEI, I am passionate about people’s development and growth and have a CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Learning and Development. I have worked in industries such as hospitality, education, and social care across the third and private sectors. Prior to joining enei, I was a Senior Learning and Development Adviser at Jewish Care, where I supported the development of over 1,200 employees and led the diversity, equality, inclusion, and wellbeing strategy.
My areas of expertise
One of my key areas of responsibility at enei is e-learning, ensuring existing courses are kept up to date and new ones are developed for our members. This allows me to combine my expertise in training design and delivery with my DEI knowledge, while staying on top of emerging best practices.
I have a strong focus on supporting employee wellbeing and creating psychologically safe environments where individuals feel valued, heard, and empowered to thrive. I’m especially passionate about creating opportunities for all by removing barriers and amplifying the voices of those from underrepresented backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to succeed.
Supporting organisations
I enjoy having consultancy calls with our members and supporting their inclusion journey. These can vary from discussions about how to develop a DEI strategy, supporting employee networks, or ensuring processes and practices are accessible and inclusive, to how to adapt and respond to changes in the DEI landscape and so much more.
I also enjoy delivering events, especially interviews and panel discussions. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to have thought-provoking conversations with our guest speakers, who are experts in their fields, and learn from them. One highlight was hosting our recent in-person event for International Women’s Day — a truly uplifting and inspiring day.
Finally, I find it exciting to work on bespoke projects with different organisations, learning about their unique challenges and ways of working, and helping them drive meaningful change.
What inspires me?
I am the mum of a gorgeous, smart, independent, and courageous toddler, and I want her to grow up in a world where she can always stay true to herself and become whoever she wants to be. Watching her explore the world reminds me every day why building equitable and inclusive spaces matters. I also want her to grow up kind, caring, and accepting of others for who they are, which makes it even more important for me to set an example she can be proud to follow.
A thought to leave you with
Don’t underestimate your value and power. Change happens not just in big, bold moves but in everyday choices, such as choosing to listen, learn, act with empathy, and make space for every voice.
