One in six people in the UK have a disability – why are those numbers not reflected in our workforces?  Progress in tackling this has been limited. We aim to bring together leading thinkers and those ken to explore the key issues and challenges facing employers in relation to attracting, recruiting, retaining and developing those with disabilities in the workplace.

This session will focus on Mental Health. Nine out of ten people with mental health problems experience stigma and discrimination with it estimated to cost the UK economy £70 billion per year through lost production, recruitment and absence. This will provide an opportunity to explore and share best practice on the key issues and challenges facing employers in relation to mental health in the workplace. Delegates can discuss their challenges and learn about other organisations and their industry’s approaches.
