Celebration of International Women in Engineering Day (INWED)

This is a free event, however there will be a £50 plus VAT admin charge for non-attendance or cancellations received less than 5 days prior to the event.

Overview

International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) is celebrated on 23rd June each year and is run by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES). WES were 100 years old in 2019 and INWED has been celebrated since 2014. The theme for this year is “Shape The World”.

In celebration of INWED 2020, enei are holding a virtual panel discussion which will look at women who have been successful in engineering, what they have done and where women wanting to go into engineering or are in engineering, can seek support for themselves and others.

Kayisha Payne from BB STEM

Mimi-Isabella Nwosu from Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers

Adrienne Houston, Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at Birmingham University
