Ian Adams MBE

Ian is an experienced Exec Director, NED and Chair who was awarded an MBE for his work as an LGBTQ+ Leader and Social Inclusion Advocate.

Today he champions social justice as a trustee of national charities, including Amnesty International UK and Unite Foundation, building on his previous experience as a senior Councillor of Westminster City Council. Ian is also Chair of a Community Interest Company, Public Voice, which specialises in community engagement.

Ian is currently employed as Director of Policy, Strategy, and Communications for NHS Resolution. Previously, he was Communications and Marketing Director for national government bodies and elsewhere in the NHS, following an earlier career with the BBC.

Ian served as Lord Mayor of Westminster in 2017/18 and was previously Governor of an FE college and NED of a social housing provider. He remains involved in the housing sector today as Vice-Chair of a London-wide charity for homeless individuals, SHP. He holds an MBA (Distinction), and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Leadership Fellow of St George’s House Windsor Castle.
