UK Skills Shortages Have Got Worse - REC

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation's September polling has found that the UK's skill shortage has worsened, with an increasing number of employers unable to find suitable candidates for their permanent vacancies. With the figures coming at a time of falling unemployment, and with non-UK workers uneasy about the implications of Brexit, recruitment difficulties are being faced across sectors, with telesales and customer service skills in short supply along with the long term problems finding skilled candidates in construction and manufacturing.
